MY DAY IN SPORT
I have been incredibly fortunate to witness the profound impact of sports in my time as a coach. When I was 18, I had a coaching opportunity that allowed me to earn some extra income. Little did I know that this opportunity would mark the beginning of a twelve-year journey immersed in youth sports. The diverse experiences, invaluable lessons, and meaningful relationships acquired throughout this time have undeniably shaped my understanding of the immense power of sports in personal growth and community development.
During my coaching journey, I've work with one of the most exceptional organizations, CP Soccer. CP Soccer allowed me to travel nationwide, coaching individuals with disabilities. All of this time culminated to a milestone in my life when I accompanied the CP Soccer Men's team to Spain to compete in an international tournament. Emerging victorious alongside such remarkable individuals left an indelible mark on me, now symbolized by the CP Soccer logo tattooed on my leg.
In honor of my upcoming 30th birthday and OTA rebranding to Develop Every Sport, where we expand to multi-sport training, I would like to celebrate with the opportunity to give back to more organizations with an initiative called "My Day In Sports". On June 12th, I will participate in seven different sports and a coaching session. From then until my birthday on July 28th, my goal is to raise at least $300 per sport. What's my "why"? This will serve as a day for me to appreciate the impact of sports in my life and give back to organizations that help make sports accessible to individuals with disability. It also seeks to highlight the importance of mental health in sports. In the next ten days, I will seek organizations to raise funds for. Throughout the day of June 12th, I will share moments and stories on social media about how I've adapted my coaching to impact others' lives positively.
Please contact us if you know any organizations we can partner with via our social media, @developeverysport, or email, hello@developeverysport.com.
