FOR THE CRAFT
Going back to the main reason I started the business in the first play, to COACH and doing it with great people around me.
Growing OTA has been an exceptional journey. Every day, there is something new to learn about running a business. While business was growing, the craft needed to be improved. My passion is coaching—I have always wanted to coach based on my experiences as a young athlete and my coaches' transformative impact on me. However, getting sidetracked by the company has hurt the effectiveness of the profession I chose. So here we are—a rebrand that brings me and the business back to the original value of nurturing individuals to success on and off the field. This rebranding process involves shifting our focus towards developing better decision-making habits in athletes and a more holistic approach to sports training.
With the rebranding of OTA to Develop Every Sport, we are embarking on a new chapter with a renewed focus on cultivating unseen skills. We all treasure those exhilarating 'wow' moments in sports when a child's confidence radiates through their unique creations. Our goal is to amplify these moments, and by expanding our sports options, we aim to offer each child/athlete the opportunity to develop a diverse range of decision-making habits from the variety of sporting opportunities. Explore our Philosophy of 'Awareness plus Movement and Communication' to delve deeper into our approach.
At its core, I will be writing these blogs for myself. It will store some of the best coaching experiences and lessons I've learned so I can return and read my why. I am in the craft of coaching because I am provided with the opportunity to learn. To teach anyone to be confident, to embrace the struggles, or to understand why accepting failure is a life experience that will make you a better person, I have to live it. Being a reflective coach helps me and my child. So, for my craft of coaching, I proudly destroy the safety of a growing business to live my why.
